Course Overview
Step into the world of forensic science and solve the curious case of a missing classroom pet! In Rogue Rodent Mystery, young detectives will engage in hands-on crime scene investigation, integrating science, critical thinking, and teamwork for an immersive learning experience.
The Mystery
Alice, the beloved guinea pig of Miss Hawkins’ science class at Kavia Elementary, has vanished! Who took Alice? How did it happen? And why? It’s up to our young investigators to gather evidence and crack the case!
What Students Will Do:
Be Little Detectives – Look for clues, listen carefully, and use their senses to solve the mystery.
Follow Footsteps & Sketch Suspects – Compare footprints, draw pictures of possible suspects, and think about who might have taken Alice.
Think Like Scientists – Sort patterns, test ideas, and use hands-on experiments to discover the truth.
Learn About Guinea Pigs – Find out what Alice needs to be happy and healthy.
Have Fun with Hands-On Activities – Follow colorful clues, mix paint, and work together to solve the mystery!

This course aligns with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Common Core State Standards in mathematics, English language arts, and literacy. Through real-world applications, students will build confidence, scientific literacy, and critical thinking skills.

Refund Policy
Once enrolled, the class cost will be deducted from the student’s allotment. Refunds are available up to 3 days before the event. If you cannot attend, email Matsulearnandinspire@gmail.com as soon as possible. I will make every effort to fill the spot and issue a refund.
